Description: A resource for low-income families, producing content and promoting the Kansas City Beehive was my main project as an AmeriCorps VISTA. I researched and wrote all the local content for the site, promoted it at local events, and managed a successful Google AdWords campaign. During my service year, I increased traffic from 300 monthly visits up to 5000.

Description: A fan site for Japanese TV mascot Domo Kun, Domo Adventures is designed, developed, and produced by yours truly. This WordPress developed site features two blogs, and several silly features to learn more about Domo.

Description: This NING-powered social networking site connects people suffering from kidney disease to resources and tools that can help them learn more about treatment. I was the project manager during a crucial period of building features on to the site- including a flash tool, mobile app, and a French version of the site.

Description: I managed the development and deployment of 125 of these community splash pages using WordPress Multisite. All 125 had to be customized to certain locations where local editors were assigned, trained and managed by me. Currently, these homepages receive over 30,000 views a month.

Description: Another original design, Rise to Excellence displays a simple, clean aesthetic for a small consulting operation. I was able to build this site quickly using the thematic framework on WordPress and making some simple CSS tweaks to enhance the presentation. Additionally, I had to manage the site between two different hosting accounts.
Title: Duncan’s Karate School (http://duncanskarate.net/)
Description: A simple brochure-type website, I hard-coded it using XHTML as a framework, CSS for appearance, and jQuery as a way to present images in an attractive way. I produced all the content as well, and ran a Google AdWords campaign to drive up traffic.
